Golden Hell
n.p. [Los Angeles?]: Gary Panter, 1985. First edition. Original wrappers. Printed wrappers with matching dust jacket, five folded signatures of [8] pages each, loose inside, as issued. Minor surface wear, near fine or better. While perhaps best known for his visionary design for Pee-wee's Playhouse, Panter is a major figure in the second wave comix underground, contributing to RAW and heavily involved in the late 70s L.A. punk and new wave scene. As Matt Groening said of him, "He brought that psychedelic crazed Gary Panter style to Saturday morning, and completely warped a generation of kids." OCLC locates two copies, VCU and BNF. Near fine.
