Published as Jargon Two, The Dancer was the first publication of the press produced at Black Mountain College. The poem commemorated a performance by Black Mountain College dance instructor Katherine Litz at the YMHA in New York. Rauschenberg’s abstract drawing of arrows have a dance-like energy of movement. Some offsetting from ink used, as often seen. Inscribed by Oppenheimer on the inside cover.
