Illustrated by Irving Block. The "first book edition and first illustrated edition" of George Silverman's Explanation (1868), the last work of fiction completed by Charles Dickens. Designed and printed by Bonnie Thompson Norman and Patrick Reagh. Letterpress printed in Baskerville on Mohawk Superfine. Some rubbing to spine gilt, else fine.

One of 26 lettered copies, of a total edition of 326 copies. Signed by Block and Stone at the colophon, as issued, with an additional inscription from Patrick Reagh, the printer. Further inscribed by Stone on a preliminary leaf. Prospectus laid in. Item #2366
