One of fifty numbered copies in boards, signed by the author. The uncommon limited edition of this collection. As a teenager Lamantia corresponded with Breton and published some of his first poems in Charles Henri Ford’s View. Later associated with the Beats (he was on the bill at the famous 1955 Six Gallery reading which included Ginsberg’s Howl), his was an idiosyncratic voice, a direct connection between the European surrealists and the later American movements. Ferlinghetti said of him, “Philip was a visionary like Blake, and he really saw the whole world in a grain of sand.”. Item #2283
